Magda, Marcin and Mrs. Redick.
On Saturday, June 28, 2008, Miss Magda got Married to the love of her life Marcin! The celebration was a success and we at the Conservatory couldn’t be happier for our Magda. Congratulations Magda and Marcin!

We are closed June 30th through July 6th. We will not hold any classes during the week but will have intermittent Shop hours (please call ahead). Registrations will be accepted during the week by calling the Conservatory at 703-715-8366.
Classes and camps/workshops restart Monday July 7th.

The Conservatory is please to announce that many of its students plan to attend various intensive programs this summer. Chelsea Monger, Megan Kampa, Lexie Overholt, and Mary Kate Kronzer all plan to attend American Ballet Theater’s Summer Intensive in New York for six weeks. Kristi Liu will be attending American Ballet Theater’s Summer Intensive in Detroit, Michigan for four weeks and Julia Biddle will be attending American Ballet Theater’s Summer Intensive in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for three weeks. Mallory Rakow and Georgina Greenleaf both plan to attend Eglevsky Ballet ’s Summer Program in New York for three weeks. Catherine Liu, one of the Conservatory Ballet Alumni and currently attending Elon University, will be dancing at the Peridance Center in New York under the instruction of modern choreographers Sean Curran and Stuart Singer in the style of Bill T. Jones and Arnie Zane, and also will be taking classes Steps on Broadway in New York.

“Our talented and hard-working dance students have been preparing their whole life for performances,” said Julia Redick, Director of Conservatory Ballet. “For the past 36 years, Conservatory Ballet students have performed throughout the community, demonstrating excellence, and, above all, an experience and earnestness which have helped them succeed in both dance, and in life.”
The Gala will take place on May 17th at the Madeira School (click for map) in McLean, Virginia.

Spring Registration is going on now. Your favorite classes may fill up quickly so don’t delay.
Spring Semester Classes begin next Monday, the 31st of March.

If you are not sure of the appropriate class for your student please refer to the “classes” page where you will find descriptions of all of our classes.

The Conservatory is pleased to announce that all of our advanced students who applied to the American Ballet Theatre were accepted.
